Working in his Jerusalem studio, Rafael strives to create unique pieces, while continuing an ancient Yemenite jewelry design, practiced by his family for generations and dating to his forefathers who worked for Yemen’s royal family as jewelers.

In his designs he uses gold and silver, combined with precious gems, for example the Eilat stone shining in a magnificent blue shade and Roman glass, dating back to the Roman Empire’s rule over the Holy Land, around 2000 years ago.
